Multiplying by 10

Before you watch the video below, I want you to think about what happens to the numbers in these equations. In particular, what is always in the ones place value? 
- What happens with 10 x 2?
- What happens with 4 x 10? 
- What happens with 10 x 6? 
- What about 9 x 10? 
- Or even 12 x 10? 
- Even 20 x 10 does the same thing? 
So, what happens each time? Especially to the ones? What happens to all the other place values? Using your knowledge of how our place values are created or grouped, why do you think this happens?

Did you notice it?

They all have a 0 in the ones, and all the other place values are shifted up by the power of 10.
